When you arrive
The Hut Life paddock is inside the field with our sign on the gate, you’ll find the gate just on your right as you drive up the lane and approach the farm. Please park inside the gate at the on the grey stone chippings and use the trolley provided (find beside the hut) to transport your luggage to the Hut in the Paddock below. Dogs must be kept on lead until inside the Hut Life paddock.
We will contact you prior to your check-in to pass on the code for the key safe, this will give you access into the hut, upon check-out please lock up and return the key to the key safe and scramble the code.
During your stay
As well as kicking back and relaxing during your stay, we hope that you’ll fully immerse yourself into the hut life as an experience opposed to just being your accommodation.
Our hut is off grid and has some quirks- so we’ve provided a cheat sheet to help you settle in and get to know her better.
You’ll find plenty of free storage, outdoor cooking equipment and a fold up table under the bed, There’s no running water but you’ll find a full drinks dispenser on the shelf in the kitchen. Just make sure you pop the top open and the water will flow freely.
We have also provided you with a water refill which you’ll find under the bed too. Should you run out of water, just take the refillable canisters to the mains water tap near the shower block (on site) for a top up. When you want hot water, simply fill up the kettle and pop it on the hob to boil.
We might be off-grid but we do have solar power, you’ll find charging ports for phones beside the bed (on the bookshelf) Unfortunately there is no wifi here as our aim is to get you off grid and closer to the great outdoors.
Flushing toilets, warm showers & dishwashing facilities are only a short walk away opposite The Hut Life entrance gate (COVID cleaning service between 12pm-2pm)
The facilities on site are cleaned every day at a COVID safe standard at 12pm-2pm. We have a strict and thorough cleaning protocol at The Hut Life. We clean, disinfect and ventilate thoroughly after each check out. All bedding has protectors underneath the sheets which are changed and then washed at a high temperature after every check out.
The table folds down and fits into the narrow cupboard under the bed if you require more space.
We love dogs and we are so happy to be able to welcome them at The Hut Life (excluding July & August – due to livestock) We want you and your pup to feel completely at home during your stay but please take note of our house rules.
Please no dogs on the bed or seats.
Please pick up all poop and dispose of it in the bin provided.
Dogs must be kept on lead when leaving the hutlife paddock as we share this space with other campers and wildlife.
Please don’t leave your dog alone unattended in the hut.
This is a self-catering facility, we have a gas hob, small fridge and a sink but we hope you will support our local businesses by considering eating out & shopping local.
